Check-in at Royal Station Hotel is 3pm and check-out is at 11am. Early check-in and late check-out options are available at an extra cost but are subject to availability.

Limited parking is available towards the front and rear of the hotel, which is chargeable at £20 for a 24hr rate. Please note, the hotel cannot reserve parking bays in advance, parking is on a first come, first served basis.

There is also an additional service charge fee and an additional charge if you require a receipt.

WiFi is available throughout the hotel at no extra cost.

Exit the motorway onto the A186, follow the one-way system down Westgate Road and The Royal Station will be neighbouring the train station. Limited parking is available towards the front and rear of the hotel, although guests must register their vehicle on arrival to avoid a chargeable fee. No doubt the easiest way to reach us, our iconic listed building is directly next door to Newcastle’s central train station which boasts transport links to all major UK cities.

Yes, the hotel is accessible for wheelchair users, however certain room types may not be suitable. Please make sure to call the hotel if you have any concerns or requirements, and our friendly team will be happy to assist.

Yes, all of our rooms come with access to our onsite gymnasium. Boasting state of the art equipment for all types of work out whether it be cardio or weights, plus a indoor swimming pool, its a great place to enjoy keeping fit.

To help ensure a smooth arrival, all guests are required to present a valid form of photo ID at check-in.

This allows us to verify your booking and maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone staying with us. Accepted forms of identification include a passport, driving licence (UK or Republic of Ireland), national ID card, or other official photo ID.

Please remember to bring this with you to avoid any delays on arrival.

A temporary pre-authorisation of £50 will also be taken on your credit or debit card at check-in. This is not a charge, but a refundable hold to cover any incidental spend during your stay, such as room service or minibar items. The amount will be released automatically after check-out.
